Page & Pine Bookshop is thrilled to welcome Jessica Payne, a local author from the tacoma area, for a special in shop author event and book signing celebrating the release of her thriller, Somebody Worth Killing, published by Berkley/Penguin Random House.

Join us on Friday, July 18 at 7:30p for an evening with bestselling horror author Marcus Kliewer, in conversation with local author Caitlin Moss.
Marcus Kliewer is the author of the breakout horror sensation We Used to Live Here, the viral debut that began as a Reddit phenomenon before being acquired for publication. Kliewer will discuss his breakout journey from viral internet phenomenon to bestselling author, the inspirations behind his work, and his chilling new novel, The Caretaker.
In The Caretaker, a young woman desperate for work accepts a mysterious caretaking job on the Oregon coast, only to discover that the position comes with strange rules, mounting dread, and consequences that may extend far beyond the property itself. We are currently planning to release books for pickup at 9:00 PM PST on release night. However, timing may change depending on publisher requirements. If the official release timeline shifts, pickup/release night timing may move to 12:00 AM PST.

Join us for a free Junk Journaling Night with Mel on Sunday, June 28th from 5:00–6:30 PM! Bring your creativity and bring some “stuff” to share. We’ll spend the evening making collaged, layered journal pages using found papers, scraps, and fun little bits and pieces.
Participants are encouraged to bring materials to swap and share, such as old magazines, stickers, postcards, scrapbook paper, ticket stubs, wrapping paper, maps, photos, washi tape, fabric scraps, ribbons, stamps, or other crafty odds and ends.

stuffy parade
We’re planning something extra special for our youngest readers and their favorite stuffed companions! In partnership with Puyallup Valley Veterinary Clinic, we’ll be hosting a Stuffy Check-Up & Parade - an interactive, joy filled event where kids can bring their animal stuffies in for a gentle “exam” with a real local vet, then join in a cheerful parade.
Along the way, families will have the chance to connect with a trusted veterinary team in our community, learn about caring for animals, and enjoy a little imaginative play inspired by the stories we love.
We’ll be sharing more details in the coming weeks, but this is one event you won’t want to miss!

Author, journalist, and advocate, Amanda Knox will be in conversation at the shop discussing her work, her writing life, and the stories that have shaped her voice. She is the author of the memoir Waiting to Be Heard and Free: My Search for Meaning, a powerful reflection on identity, resilience, and what it means to rebuild a life.

A Quiet Chapter: Sound Bath Experience
Join us in the bookshop for a quiet chapter of rest and reflection, in partnership with Susanna of Attune Sound Therapy. This thoughtfully curated experience invites you to slow down, tune inward, and find stillness between the pages.
The evening will begin with a 15 minute guided grounding meditation and body scan to find stillness and set an intention, followed by a 60 minute immersive sound bath using Italian gongs, Nepali singing bowls, Koshi chimes, and ocean drumming to release tension and invite calm, harmony, and ease.

We’re participating in one of our favorite downtown puyallup events of the year: SIp! this event is featuring local businesses, wine, bubbles, beers, and ciders. Grab a friend and sip your way through downtown while enjoying local spots, selfie stations, and an afternoon of fun.
