Meet Emily

owner

Emily is the Owner of page & pine bookshop, which she opened out of a love for the community and a desire to bring something special to it. When she gets the chance to enjoy a story, she especially loves romance—most often through audiobooks.

Her days are happily full being a mom, working in a corporate job she enjoys, and cheering at her son’s baseball games. She’s also a big fan of farmers markets, traveling, and rooting for Seattle sports. Emily’s hope is that the shop feels like more than just a place to buy books—it’s a welcoming spot for neighbors and friends to connect.

Meet Melanie

bookshop lead

Melanie is our Bookshop Lead and she has always loved to read, but when the pandemic left her stuck inside, her passion for reading and books reached a new level. She loves a good romance or mystery as much as the next person, but she also loves to challenge herself with classics such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Beloved, or a good Shakespeare play. Melanie’s perfect day can change based on the season or location, but every variation includes a stop at the local bookstore and a walk outside with her husband and goldendoodle. She is thrilled to work at page & pine as it gives her a chance to share her passion for reading with others.
